Natalie and Henry’s wedding at Granary Estates

I was invited to photograph the beautiful wedding of Natalie and Henry, starting with the morning preparations at The Graduate Hotel Cambridge, and continuing with their ceremony and reception at the gorgeous venue The Granary Estates. We were lucky with the weather - enjoying a rare April day of summer-like warmth that perfectly matched the vibrant colors and joyful spirit of the celebration. This is my first blog post, and I’m excited to share my work with you here, without the limitations that sometimes come with social media posts.

The bride Natalie and her best women, Megan, Rachel, Lily, Catherine and Alexandra got ready at The Graduate hotel in Cambridge. Her bouquet filled with Sahara spray roses, Icelandic poppies and apricot stocks was delivered to her room by local florist Clemmie and Twine, and her mother Sushil tied her embroidered sari in their final moments together. Continuing a nod to her Indian heritage, the girls were dressed in custom outfits in a beautiful array of colours and fabrics.

The ceremony was in the main barn at The Granary Estates, where Henry and Natalie said their vows in front of their guests from all over the world. Readings were delivered by Elliot, Henry’s close friend and Ryan, Natalie’s brother. Henry’s brother Michael presented them with rings.  Family members embraced warmly when the bride and groom were announced as husband and wife, and Henry and Natalie walked out of the barn to cheers and confetti from their loved ones.

While family and friends  enjoyed reception outside and played garden games in the afternoon sun, indoor space was being prepared for the wedding breakfast. Guests took their seats, and the bride and groom entered to a roaring welcome, dancing in hand-in-hand, climbing over chairs and hugging their guests. Speeches and food followed, filling the room with warmth, laughter, and celebration as everyone settled in for the evening.

After the cake was cut, the bride and groom shared their first dance, followed by a surprise choreographed routine from their best women and men—then the party truly kicked off.

I almost always prefer capturing dance floor moments in black and white; there’s something timeless and raw about the energy that suits it perfectly.

Natalie and Henry, thank you for trusting me to capture your day—it was a joy to witness and document all the love, colour, and energy you brought to your celebration. The atmosphere was full of life, and there was always something real and meaningful happening in front of the lens.
